Does access to condoms lead to irresponsible, dangerous, or bad behavior?

How many girls in your public high-school are pregnant? How many have sexually transmitted diseases? Do boys give girls diseases? Do girls give boys std's from previous sexual partners. A major issue in today's society are girls and guys that are sexually active. Some schools even provide condoms to their students. I believe condoms lead to irresponsible, dangerous, and bad behavior that is mainly sexually related. Giving anyone a condom is almost like saying here you go, go have sex. Number one, condoms aren't one hundred percent guaranteed to keep you from sexually transmitted diseases or getting pregnant. Especially with boys, condoms are very dangerous. Give a wrong boy a condom, all it takes is a little lee-way from a girl and a boy could force him on a girl and force sex. It could lead to rape as well as other things. Gateway sex being another topic. I don't think kids at a certain age should be allowed to buy condoms because they honestly give the wrong idea. Until your old enough and mature to realize, and understand the decisions you're making with condoms and how you're going to use them-you shouldn't be allowed to use them.

Does Participation in sports keep teens out of trouble ?

In my opinion, when asked about teens joining or being a part of a sports team I completely believe it plays a major role in keeping them out of trouble. When a teenager has nothing to do and their sitting at home they're more prone to go out and do something they're not supposed to do. However when they're on a basketball team and they're actually part of something, they have no time to go out and mess around. They're focused and dedicated to the sport they play. Many movies portray kids that struggle academically, or students that spend time out doing drugs, having sex ect. and then it shows the inspiring story of how someone, mostly coaches, that pick them up and help them change by introducing them to a game. Movies like Coach Carter and Step Up all show a story of when kids steal cars, or blow off their academic eligibility but they find something or are forced to do things like playing basketball or dancing that cause them not to have time for the bad habits they were once used to. Participation in sports also encourages kids to stay in school. In order for kids to play on sports teams they have to keep high grades, therefore the dropout and failing student rates drop as well.  Mainly, when a teen is dedicated to doing something they love and have fun with they grow and they no longer have the time to do anything else but to focus on that sports goal and what they can do to better themselves at it resulting in less kids on the street being disruptive.
